My kids love hummus and so don't I, I found that every week we were buying two to three containers which at $3 a piece really adds up. So I started to make our own and can make double the amount for way less and we can change it up to add different flavors.
This recipe will cost you around a dollar and last a week in the refrigerator. I double the recipe each time I make it because I know it will be gone with in a few days. 😂
Let's get in to the recipe so you can start making your own.
This recipe will only take you about 15 minutes or less to whip up.
What you need:
🔹Can of chick peas 🔹Olive oil 🔹Sea salt 🔹Cumin 🔹Garlic 🔹Lemon 🔹 Black pepper 🔹Water
Easy Tahiti free hummus Recipe:
1 (15 ounce) can garbanzo beans, drained, liquid reserved
1 clove garlic, crushed or one teaspoon pre crushed
2 to 3 teaspoons ground cumin
½ teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 to 3 Tablespoons lemon juice ( Fresh or bottled )
3 to 4 Tablespoon water
Black pepper to taste
How to make it:
1: Drain and rinse chick peas
2: Add all ingredients to food processor
3: blend in food processor. You can add the reserved liquid from your chick peas
( Aquafaba ) if needed to get the consistency you like.
4: your all done and ready to enjoy!
